Care Guide
Laundry Care
Proper bedding maintenance can be easy. Follow these simple basics and you will be rewarded with a mindful sleep and a rejuvenated wake-up.
1. How do I wash quilts made from different materials?
Most of our quilts are easy to care for.
For everyday washing, simply machine wash in cold water and tumble dry on low heat. No bleach needed.
For best results and longer-lasting comfort, please follow the fabric-specific tips below:
>Cotton Quilts
- Machine wash in cold or warm water (below 30°C / 86°F)
- Use your regular detergent
- Tumble dry on low heat or air dry
- Skip bleach and fabric softeners
- Avoid high heat to help prevent shrinkage
>Linen Quilts
- Machine wash in cold or warm water on a gentle cycle
- Use a mild detergent
- Avoid bleach and fabric softeners
- Avoid high heat to help prevent fabric damage
- Tumble dry on low or hang to dry
>Velvet & Microfiber Quilts
These fabrics are typically made from polyester, which makes them durable and easygoing. Just be gentle with heat and friction.
- Machine wash in cold water (gentle cycle recommended)
- Use a mild detergent
- Tumble dry on low or air dry
- Avoid bleach and fabric softeners
- Avoid washing with items that have zippers, hooks, or Velcro
>Chenille Quilts
Chenille has a cozy, textured feel and prefers a little extra care.
- Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle or hand wash
- Use a neutral or mild detergent
- Air dry or tumble dry on low
- Avoid bleach and fabric softeners
- Avoid washing with rough fabrics or items with sharp accessories
2. How often should I wash my quilt?
For most households, washing your quilt every 1–2 months works well.
In warmer seasons, or if you tend to sweat more at night, we suggest washing it every 2–4 weeks.
As always, adjust based on how often the quilt is used.
3. How should I store my quilt?
When not in use, store your quilt in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated space, away from direct sunlight.
- Humid environments may cause mold or mildew, especially for natural fabrics
- Long-term exposure to high heat can lead to fading or fabric damage
A little care goes a long way in keeping your quilt soft, fresh, and beautiful for years to come.
